GERMAN-IRANIAN FOREIGN TRADE IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2018
In the first three months of 2018, German-Iranian foreign trade, at 798 million euros, was 2% lower than in the first quarter of 2017.
In the first three months of 2018, German-Iranian foreign trade, at 798 million euros, was 2% lower than in the first quarter of 2017. Germany supplied goods worth 695 million euros (-1%); the Iranian deliveries to Germany amounted to 103 million euros (-8%).
The most important categories of German supplies to Iran in the first quarter of 2018 were machinery, apparatus and mechanical equipment (EUR 252 million), optical, photographic and other products (EUR 53 million), motor vehicles, land vehicles (EUR 52 million), pharmaceutical products (€ 49 million) and electrotechnical products (€ 48 million).
The Iranian deliveries to Germany during the period under review included fruit and nuts worth 43 million euros, other animal products (skins and sheep intestines (10 million euros), pharmaceuticals (8 million euros) and shellac, gums, Resin and plant sap (€ 7 million) and carpets (€ 7 million).
