Inflation rate in Iran at 40.4 percent
July 2019 increase compared to previous month at 2.8 percent
The annual inflation rate in Iran until the end of the month Tir (22 July) is 40.4 percent. This represents an increase of 2.8 per cent over the previous month of Khordad (21 June), reports the National Statistics Centre.
The inflation rate of 61.0 percent for goods under the heading "Food, beverages and tobacco" was the most important factor. In contrast, the rate in the category "Non-edible goods and services" was 32.2 per cent.
"Water, electricity and fuel" experienced the increase of 16 percent.
