20 years of GIZ in Iran
Anniversary Celebration and Award for AHK Iran
Together with the National Ozone Unit of the Iranian Environment Agency, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) celebrated Ozone Day, the 32nd anniversary of the Montreal Protocol, and the 20th anniversary of its presence in Iran. The event took place at Parsianpark on Tuesday, 18 September. In recognition of the good and long-standing cooperation, the GIZ also presented the AHK Iran with an award. Hossein Sarafraz, Deputy Managing Director of the AHK Iran, accepted the award on behalf of the organisation.
The GIZ is an organisation that works internationally for sustainable development and education. It is active in a wide range of fields, from economic and employment promotion to energy and environmental issues and the promotion of peace and security.
Dr. Tajrishi, the deputy head of the environmental office, addressed World Ozone Day in his speech. Speakers from various associations contributed to the event. Among them were Bernhard Siegele, GIZ Program Manager, Igor Croiset, GIZ Senior Consultant as well as representatives of the Technical and Vocational Training Organization of Iran (TVTO) and representatives of the Organization for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency, Satba.
The AHK Iran congratulates on its 20th anniversary and wishes the GIZ much success in the coming years.
