Managing director of Saipa Industrial Group, Ahmad Qalehbani said on Friday that those who have registered for Tondar-90 automobiles can take delivery of their vehicles by the end of December. Some 22,000 people registered in February with Pars Khodro Company for Tondar-90 Logan). Delivery will be made through lottery and 1,200 applicants will receive their cars within two weeks. Qalehbani told IRNA that since production of Tondar-90 has increased in Pars Khodro, it is hoped that the company will deliver the cars by the end of December. Commenting on the problems in procuring spare parts for Tondar-90 from Renault Pars Company, he noted that the problem has been overcome and it is hoped that Renault Pars will supply the spare parts on time. “The rate of production of Tondar-90 is presently 90 cars per day and once the parts are supplied on time, this figure can reach 500 to 600 cars,“ Qalehbani added. He expressed hope that Renault Pars will not consider Iran’s car market for a short-term period but will continue its investment on a long-term basis.
